This blog will be primarily about comics and other pop-culture phenomenon, a place for me to blow off some steam and let me feelings know, hopefully a lot of you can get involved in the conversation as well!!
Now, why do I have a picture of Booster Gold #8 on my first post? Well because Wild Dog make a big return in this issue!! I have not read Booster and I actually did not have any idea that Wild Dog was going to be in the issue, I have to thank Bill Frey, who I met at the Kansas City Planet-Con for giving me the heads up on this (still can't believe he is 41!!) Thanks again Bill, hope to see you next year!
Well, Booster and Blue Beetle have been jumping around the time stream and they met up with Hawkman and Green Arrow who are leading a resistance in an alternate reality where Maxwell Lord and the OMAC's have taken over, we meet the rest of the resistance and guess who is on the team?? Wild Dog!!
I have to say I was a little disappointed on how he was portrayed as a stupid shooter (he ends up shooting his team mate Pantha), but I was able to overlook this as he was taking pot shots at Superman, unfortunately Maxwell Lord takes over his mind and aims his Uzis at his hockey mask....Wild Dog has no choice but to pull the trigger...
I am sad because he is gone, but I am happy that it is an alternate world, so Wild Dog Prime is still alive in the DC Universe (remember he made an appearance in Infinite Crisis #7). I am also happy that he is on someones radar at DC, so maybe another mini-series or one-shot could be on the way! I hope.
What do you all think of the issue or Wild Dog?
